The public is invited to attend the highly anticipated opening of the Johnson County Arts and Heritage Center (JCAHC).

The first free day will be from 9AM to 5PM on Saturday, June 10at the new facility which is located in the former King Louie building at 8788 Metcalf.  Tickets for Grease , which is tentatively offering 14 matinees and evening performances between June 9 and June 25, will go on sale May 1.  Check theatreinthepark.org for details.

The museum's signature exhibit, Becoming Johnson County." will occupy about 12,500 square feet of the center and display more than 400 objects. Interative stations will park and reinforce learning and add some fun for for visitors or all ages.  A 1500-square-foot gallery space will provide opportunities to explore local stories in more detail.
